Wildlife on the fields 2018

Insects to birds of prey

Whilst recording the birds we were reminded that we had recorded a conversation with Ian on the fields some time ago.  We wanted to know if growing without chemicals was having a positive impact on wildlife – so what had Ian seen?

The recording seems to focus a lot on pests – wildlife that we need to learn to live with!!  In 2012 when we started growing the soil was poor quality and, there was very little wildlife in evidence – other than the partridge family.  Now we are attracting lots of different species, though Ian is still waiting to spot his first snake!

Again many thanks to Julie https://www.rollingaudio.co.uk  for improving this recording
