Terms and conditions

Thank you for setting up your direct debit with GO Local Food Ltd, you will already have received information about your membership.  The terms and conditions below confirm our arrangements.

  1. Membership is for a full year, April to March or part of the year, depending on the month in which you joined.
  2. Payment is made via GO Cardless Ltd . You will receive notification of your mandate being set up with details of how to manage your payments.
  3. Each member pays an annual fee of £30 collected at the date of joining. £24 of the first payment is your share in the co-op, the remainder is a contribution towards admin costs.  Subsequent annual payments contribute towards administrative costs.
  4. As a member owned co operative, your membership entitles you to share in decision making.
  5. You will be invited to take part in a minimum of 4 meetings per year (January, April, July and October). In addition the AGM (July) includes, Annual Directors Report & Financial Statements for the members and voting for new Directors.
  6. Members receive information and invitations to meetings and events. You are welcome to visit the fields and to join us in volunteering.
  7. Workshare members agree to work 4 hrs per week under the supervision of our paid grower for 40 weeks of the year, and receive a weekly large share of crops grown or bought.
  8. A cropshare subscription is made by monthly direct debit payment. Ovington, £66 large, £46 medium or £38 small share and Hexham £76 large, £56 medium or £48 small share  (grown or bought crops) for 50 weeks of the year.
  9. Members are responsible for collecting their veg; from the Ovington fields, from Thurs. 5 pm–Tues. noon or from Hextol Foundation, Fri. 10 am – Mon. eve.  and for letting the Administrator know if not collecting, using veg@golocalfood.org.uk.
  10. Cancellation of your membership within the year will be accepted in exceptional cases and at the discretion of the Directors. A full month’s notice is required for cancellation.
  11. Go Local Food will store your contact details safely and these will only be used for arrangements stated and purposes expressly agreed by you.
