Last Thursday there was the first test of Go Local Food’s new potato lifter. It was a success – at least for the larger potatoes and left the soil in a good state for future working over. The work shares will have to fork over the cleared area to remove the weeds and see what the machine has missed in the way of potatoes. The space cleared will be the new onion bed for next year.
